The Frame:
The aluminum frame structure is composed of extrusions using the alloys 6005-T5 and 6063-T5. All aluminum welding will use 5356 series aluminum filler wire in accordance with ANSI/AWS D1.2-90 GMAW process. Fasteners will be type 304 Stainless Steel or A325 Hot-Dipped Galvanized. Uniform live load designs will be based upon the type of use expected. Residential or light use bridges will be designed for a uniform live load of 60 p.s.f. Commercial use bridges or heavily used public bridges will be designed for a minimum live load of 85 p.s.f. Custom designs to accommodate specialized load conditions, water piping, electrical conduits, etc., are available at your request. All bridges will conform to the current edition of the Aluminum Association Specification for aluminum structures.
The Decking:
The bridge floor may be made from a variety of materials.
